Our standards for accuracy, independence, sourcing, and the separation of editorial and commercial content.
Independence
Editorial decisions — what to cover, what to recommend, scoring, ranking — are made independently of commercial considerations. Affiliate partnerships have no influence on whether or how favorably we cover a product. Sponsored content, if ever published, is clearly labeled and never appears in product rankings or reviews.
Accuracy and sourcing
Specifications come from manufacturer official sources, published datasheets, or independent testing where available. Regulatory information comes from primary government sources (IRS, BNetzA, Ofgem, etc.). Every product page and country guide carries a 'last updated' date.
Reviews and scoring
Editor scores reflect a structured assessment across capacity, build quality, feature set, value, and warranty. Methodology is published on our How We Test page. Where we have not personally tested a product, this is noted and the assessment is based on documented specifications, manufacturer disclosures, and aggregated user reports.
Corrections
We correct errors promptly and visibly. Significant changes to factual content (spec corrections, tariff updates, legal status changes) are dated. If you spot an error, contact us.
Conflicts of interest
Authors disclose any direct financial interest in companies they cover. We do not accept paid placement, gifts in exchange for coverage, or sponsored product mentions in our editorial content.
Updates
Buying guides and country pages are reviewed quarterly. Product database entries are checked weekly via automated scrapers and verified manually on changes.
